Who We Support
At Logopedia, we support children and families across a wide range of communication styles, developmental profiles, languages, cultures, and lived experiences.
We recognize that every child develops, communicates, learns, and connects in their own way. Our role is to understand the whole child, build on their strengths and interests, and partner with the people who know them best.
Our services are relationship-based, neurodiversity-affirming, culturally responsive, and individualized to each child and family. Whether we are supporting communication, early development, feeding, AAC, or participation in everyday life, our goal is to provide care that feels meaningful, respectful, and relevant to the people we serve.
Autistic & Neurodivergent Children
We support autistic and neurodivergent children with a wide range of communication styles, sensory profiles, developmental differences, and support needs.
Our work centers on meaningful communication, connection, participation, self-advocacy, and relationships. We build on each child's individual strengths, interests, and ways of engaging with the world while partnering with families to support the skills that matter in their everyday lives.
AAC Users & Emerging Communicators
Communication is so much more than speech. Children may communicate through spoken words, gestures, facial expressions, movement, signs, scripts, pictures, speech-generating devices, or a combination of many different forms of communication.
We support children who use, are exploring, or may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), as well as emerging communicators who are developing reliable ways to share their thoughts, needs, ideas, interests, and experiences.
We value and honor all forms of communication.
Bilingual & Multilingual Families
Language is deeply connected to family, culture, identity, and belonging.
We proudly support children growing up with two or more languages and encourage families to communicate with their children in the languages that feel most natural and meaningful to them.
Our bilingual Spanish-English team understands that multilingual development has its own unique patterns and should be supported with knowledge of the child's entire linguistic environment. We partner with families to strengthen communication while honoring and preserving the languages that connect children to the people and communities they love.
Infants, Toddlers & Young Children
The earliest years of development unfold through relationships, play, movement, exploration, and everyday experiences.
Our early intervention services support the whole child across five developmental domains: communication, social-emotional development, cognition, adaptive development, and motor development.
We work alongside caregivers to better understand their child's individual developmental profile and identify meaningful opportunities for learning and connection within everyday routines, relationships, and family life.
School-Age Children & Adolescents
As children grow, their communication, learning, relationships, and environments become increasingly complex.
We support school-age children and adolescents across a variety of areas, including receptive and expressive language, speech production, literacy, AAC, social communication, self-advocacy, and participation across home, school, and community environments.
Our support evolves with each child, recognizing that their strengths, priorities, identities, and communication needs may change as they grow.
Children with Complex Communication & Developmental Needs
Some children have communication needs alongside differences in motor development, sensory processing, cognition, feeding, health, or other areas of development.
We take the time to understand how these different aspects of a child's development interact rather than viewing them in isolation. When appropriate, we collaborate with caregivers, educators, medical providers, and other members of a child's team to develop supports that are meaningful, coordinated, and relevant to everyday life.
Every Child Brings Their Own Story
No two children or families are exactly alike.
We approach each child with curiosity and respect, taking the time to understand who they are, how they communicate, what brings them joy, what is important to their family, and where support may be meaningful.
Because meaningful support begins with understanding the person in front of us.
