Maribel Serrano Holder, M.S., M.A., CCC-SLP
My pronouns are she/her/ella/la. I am a California-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and founder of Logopedia Speech & Language Therapy, Inc.
A little more about me: I am a descendant of the indigenous peoples of Mexico. I am also neurodivergent, meaning I live and exist in a world that wasn’t designed for me or others like me. I started Logopedia (pronounced: lo·go·peh·dia) because I wanted to serve the diverse needs of the Latiné gender-expansive, young autistic, neurodivergent, and medically fragile populations by providing accessible, affirming, high-quality, culturally responsive, and evidence-supported services. My mission with building Logopedia was to provide a safe, accepting, nurturing, and supportive environment where our clients can discover their voice (whatever shape or form it takes) and express themselves authentically.
I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Francisco State University, and an M.A. in Infant and Early Childhood Development from Fielding Graduate University, where I am presently pursuing a doctorate. I am a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC). I am also a certified Hanen® instructor, DIR Floortime® expert level clinician and training leader, and I have extensive training in Gestalt Language Processing and Natural Language Acquisition. In recognition of my commitment to learning, I am a proud recipient of three ASHA Awards for Continuing Education (ACE).

I love my job, and when I am not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling, road-tripping, eating good food, and dancing (salsa and bachata are my favorites). I also like being alone and spending time with myself and my thoughts. I have a handful of very close friends, and I consider myself lucky to have found a community of neurokin.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Logopedia and me. We look forward to serving you!
Jacqueline Rizzoli, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hello, I’m Jacqueline (she/her)!
I received my B.S. in Special/Elementary Education, a B.A. in Theatre Studies and Performance, and my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. I’m a certified American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) member with a California Speech Language Pathologist license.
I have been working with school-age children (Preschool to 12th grade) as a Special Educator since 2015 and as an SLP since 2020! I have experience working with children of all abilities, backgrounds, and neurotypes. I hold an Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant certificate from Georgetown University. Additionally, I have worked with adults in home health and acute rehabilitation settings.
I joined Logopedia because I align with their whole-child, parallel process approach. As a neurodivergent woman, I admire their ND-affirming services. I am passionate about empowering and educating caregivers to be experts in their child’s development. I am honored to be on this team and part of the Logopedia family!
I grew up in New York City and attended college and graduate school in New Jersey. My husband and I moved to San Francisco in 2022 and have loved every moment of being here! I love exploring new neighborhoods, reading, road-tripping, doing puzzles, and trying new food!

Hi, I’m Jonathan (he/him/el)!
I hold a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University and a M.S. degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College. I have worked within the early childhood education and social-emotional wellness field for a greater part of my adult life.
I joined Logopedia because of their empathic attention to clients and families, their affirming approach, and the focus on connection and relationships above all else. Having completed both my externship and clinical fellowship at Logopedia, I have experienced first-hand the passion that drives the work and it truly is an honor to be a part of it.
I was born in San Diego, California, and raised in a bilingual Spanish and English-speaking home in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. In my free time, I like to drink coffee or tea, dance, run, swim, attend LGBTQ+ events, and spend a beautiful day with my partner.

nadia van wiggeren, B.a., SLP Intern
Pronouns: she/her/ella
I am a trilingual second-year graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at San Francisco State University with a Spanish-bilingual specialization.
I grew up in Paso Robles, California, and I earned a B.A. in mathematics from Haverford College. I later worked as a case worker for immigrant and refugee minors in the field of family reunification, and then as a paraeducator for two years in a transitional kindergarten classroom. In that role I worked with a wide range of families and students and gained experience in early childhood education. During this time, I completed a post-baccalaureate program from San Diego State University Global Campus in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences.
In my free time I like to read, watch movies, cook, go thrift shopping, play jazz guitar, and spend quality time with my partner, friends, and family.
I believe firmly that diversity is a source of strength, and I agree whole-heartedly with Logopedia’s mission to create a safe, inclusive space for clients and families. As a neurodivergent woman and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I believe in affirming all identities.
